“How could this happen?” is the question Kylee Guy is asking after she learned of the acquittal of Ewen Macdonald, the suspect to her husband’s murder.
She told Weekend Herald that the incident that happened two years ago changed their whole world completely.
“You are only given one life to live. Scotty was everything you could ever dream of – a loving, amazing husband, the best daddy to his boys and a wonderful, caring friend,” she said.
Mrs Guy also said her love for her husband never changed and that she finds the world she now lives in as “unfair and unbelievable”.

After the not guilty verdict was delivered on Tuesday, Scott’s father, Bryan Guy, read a statement outside the High Court at Wellington .
He said the verdict left the family with “mixed emotions” because they were left wondering who killed Scott.
Although Macdonald is already acquitted, he is still in Manawatu Prison awaiting sentencing on charges he admitted at the time of his arrest.
He admitted to have burned down an old house owned by Scott and Kylee Guy. He also admitted to vandalizing their new home with an axe and painting graffiti on the walls.
He also pleaded guilty to other charges but the nature to those were not disclosed.
A sentencing date will be set when he appears in the Palmerston North District Court on July 31.
